12 Inch

19 rue de Palestro
75002
Paris

A superb record shop for House Music, Techno and Disco. Manu owns the shop and as well as being a great DJ he's a really cool guy with an amazing knowledge of modern dance music. There's a vast selection of music to choose from old and new in a spacious shop with comfortable sofas and a drinks machine.

Sadly 12 inch closed 2 years after this article.

Betinos

32 Rue Saint Sebastian
75011
Paris

Specialising in black music ranging from Jazz, House, Garage, Boogie, Soul, Broken Beat, Funk, New Jazz, Hip Hop, Latin and Reggae. Betinos has more than 5,000 brand new and older records in store including a fantastic selection of second hand product in the back. Believe me there are some serious nuggets here! Highly respected in Paris, Betino worked for Karamel for over 20 years so has frontline worldwide distribution experience. He is especially knowledgeable with regards to 70's, 80's and 90's releases. He amazes me sometimes with what he knows and how much its worth. This shop is well worth a visit and is always buzzing with local DJ's, Producers and Musicians. As well as shipments arriving every few days from the UK, USA and Germany the shop holds some great T Shirts, Magazines and theres a nice bar next door.
If you are lucky you will end up outside the shop with Betino, some great French DJ's, producers and an Espresso !
